Day 1 - Sarajevo
Accommodation in the hotel upon arrival. After some rest at the hotel we will have an organized city tour trough Sarajevo. Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the biggest urban, cultural, economical center of B&H. It is known as the „European Jerusalem“, because of the fact that in a radius of 200 m, you can find a muslim mosque, rimocatholic Cathedral, an Ortodox church and a Jewish sinagogue. We will be happy to take you trough the city and show you some of the most important historical sites and monuments: The Library, the City fountain, Baščaršija, the crafts streets, The Cathedral, Old Jewish temple, Gazi Husref-beys mosque, hammam, library, medresa, The clock tower, The National theatre, National museum, The assasination place, The Emperors mosque etc. Free time for individual activities. Overnight.
Day 2 - Konjic-Blagaj-Pocitelj-Mostar
Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast departure to Konjic. Konjic is a mountainous, heavily wooded area. It is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia, dating back almost 4000 years. You will have the chance to see the old part of the city, incorporated into the Ottoman Empire, of which the lasting feature for the town apart from the many mosques is the Ottoman inspired bridge. We will take you also to a wood crafting shop, where you will be able to see the traditional bosnian designs of furniture, souvenirs, bosnian rooms and traditional wood crafting techniques. Afterwards we will take you to a fishpond in a nearby place called Čelebići. From Čelebići on the river of Baštica, there is a place with a fishpond called Pećina (The Cave) which offers a variety of local specialties and a comfortable place for a rest. This excursion will also take us to Buna springs (Blagaj) – the strongest spring in Europe that takes out more then 45 000 liters per second. Buna spring is the home to the most famous dervish convict (tekke) in the Balkans. You will have the chance to visit Pocitelj, an old pass keeper on the banks of emerald Neretva river. Later on we will visit the city of Mostar, the largest and the most important city in the Herzegovina region. It's situated on Neretva river and is the fifth largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (natively: mostari) who have guarded the Old Bridge during medieval times. The Old Bridge is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks and under the protection of UNESCO. You will also have the opportunity to see the Koski Mehmed-pasha's mosque, Tabacica mosque, the Old Bridge and the old turkish quarter. Departure to Sarajevo. On the way, we will stop for a short break in Jablanica, where you will be able to see the local, traditional way of making the lamb on the spit. Departure to Sarajevo. Arrival at the hotel in the evening. Overnight.
Day 3 - The War Tunnel-Spring of river Bosna-Bijambare cave
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to the famous Sarajevo Tunnel museum, constructed by the besieged citizens of Sarajevo in order to link the city (war 1992-1995), which was cut-off by Serbian forces, with the bosnian-held territory on the other end of the supposedly neutral area at the Sarajevo Airport controlled by the United Nations. Afterwards we're taking you to the spring of river Bosna, which you will reach having a ride in carriages through a beautiful walkway. The spring is located in the southwest of Sarajevo. It si one of the country's top natural landmarks and is one of the most famous scenes of natural beauty in the region. Later on, we're going to visit the Bijambare cave. It is a beautiful cave structure, with lost rivers, tunnels/shaper depressions, rocky massifs and lakes. On relatively small place you can find 8 caves spreading in 4 horizons, one of them being famous for a long time so called main Bijambare cave. Lenghts of the cave is 420 m, it has 4 halls with rich cave ornaments of all known creation forms. After sightseeing, free time for individual activities. Arrival at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 4 - Travnik - Jajce
Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast departure to Bihać. Arrival at the hotel in Bihać. After a short break we will have a city tour. Bihać is a city and municipality on river Una in the north-western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The area of Bihać was populated by the tribe of Iapydes as early as the 8th century B.C. The Iapydes left many remains tha testify about their presence in this area. During the 2nd century B.C. this area was populated by the Romans. It's in this period that the river Una was given its name by a Roman soldier (lat. Una – one, unique). City served as headquarters for the partisan army of Josip Broz Tito, the seat of the first AVNOJ session in 1942 and the center of the anti-fascist resistance. During the tour you will be able to see the Captains tower, The Bihać tower, Fethija mosque, The Bihać fort etc. After the tour free time for individual activities. Arrival to the hotel. Overnight in hotel Emporium-Bihać.
Day 5 - Jajce-Bihać-Una rafting (optional)
Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast departure to Bihać. After a short break we will have a city tour. Bihać is a city and municipality on river Una in the north-western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The area of Bihać was populated by the tribe of Iapydes as early as the 8th century B.C. The Iapydes left many remains tha testify about their presence in this area. During the 2nd century B.C. this area was populated by the Romans. Una is a river in the northwestern part of Bosnia, which partly forms the western border of Bosnia with Croatia. The lenght of this beauty that belongs to the Black Sea basin is about 212 km. Every year on this river is organized the famous „Una Regatta“, as a part of the events that take place during „The Bihać summer“. Una has 28 species of different fishes, most common being the trout fish, grayling fish and sprout fish, and the surrounding area is rich with herbs, around 170 different herbal plants. Day 6 - Bihać – Sarajevo
Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast departure to Sarajevo. Arrival to Sarajevo in the afternoon. The day will be free for you to have some rest and relax from the active days before. Find some refreshment in the shade of a nice Sarajevo style cafe, have a slow walk through the Walkway to the Spring of river Bosna, or a walk towards the „Goat bridge“, a popular pik-niking and walking place, watch the climbers, ride a bike to the bridge, make a pik-nik, or play some sports on the fields. Arrival to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 7 - Visoko – Bjelašnica mountain
Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast departure to Visoko. Visoko is a city in central B&H of rich historical heritage. It was an early centre of Bosnian medieval state and the site where the first Bosnian king Tvrtko I was crowned. In Visoko there is a homeland museum which exhibits the cultural and historic heritage of the Visoko area, and Bosnia. Most of the exhibits are related to the medieval Bosnian state, because the Visoko valley (Mile, Biskupići and Mošte) was once the center of the Bosnian kingdom. You will also have the opportunity to see the extraordinary Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids, which represents the biggest complex of pyramidal structures in the world. It consists of Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun (with its height of over 220m, is bigger than Cheops Pyramid), Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon (190m), Pyramid of Bosnian Dragon (90m), Temple of Mother Earth and Pyramid of Love (www.piramidasunca.ba/ar/). After the Visoko tour, we can (optional) visit Bjelašnica mountain. Bjelašnica is a mountain located southwest from Sarajevo bordering Igman mountain. Bjelašnica range is bordered by Raktinica river on the south and Neretva river in the west. Only 30 minutes distance from Sarajevo, Bjelašnica is a popular tourist attraction for hiking, skiing, and pik-niking place in summer. The mountain is also popular with mountain bikers and has become recently a frequent base for paragliders. Bjelašnica mountain was one of the 1984 Winter Olympics mountains and hosted the men's alpine skiing events. Have some rest in the nature, have a walk in the fresh mountain air or a tea or coffee in one of the local coffee shops. Arrival to Sarajevo in the afternoon. Free time for individual activities. Overnight.
Day 8 - Sarajevo
Breakfast in the hotel. The eight day of the tour will be a free day for You to enjoy and try to discover all the secrets of Sarajevo until the transfer to the airport. If you still do not know where to go or what to see, we recommend you the Sarajevo art galleries, The Gallery of Contemporary art ARS AEVI, the gallerie of the Kuršumli medresa, Galery of the Academy of Fine Arts, Galery New Temple, Galery Mak. If you are not that into art, you will have a big opportunity to go for shopping in some of our shopping centers, BBI, Alta, Importane, as well as a lot of shops on the pedestrian zone. If none of these meet your needs than you could go for a slow walk trough the city center, where you will have the opportunity to taste the „local life“, have a bosnian coffee in some of the local cafe shops, or try our local traditional food.
